EDUCATION | DE MATTIAS FINE ARTS CENTER & O’SHAUGHNESSY SPORTS COMPLEX

LOCATION: WICHITA, KS
Newman University's new 110,000-square-foot facility was a response to their 20-year master plan to address the needs of campus growth.
The De Mattias Fine Arts Center includes classrooms for 3-D art, music, and theatre as well as ITV rooms, an art gallery, exhibition spaces, and facility offices. The performance hall has seating for 386 and was designed to accommodate theatrical and vocal performances as well as lectures. A Studio Theatre seats up to 150 in various configurations and can be used to teach theatrical production.
The O’Shaughnessy Sports Complex contains a competition gymnasium with seating for 1,200, aerobics rooms, weight/training rooms, coaches’ offices, concessions, three sets of lockers, sports storage, and mechanical rooms.
