FRIENDS UNIVERSITY RINE FINE ARTS CENTER RENOVATION & EXPANSION

The Friends University Riney Fine Arts Center Renovation and Addition project encompassed a 30,000 SF transformation of existing spaces and a 7,200 SF expansion. Designed to blend seamlessly with the campus, the new entry addition features matching brickwork, rhythmic columns, and expansive glass windows that offer views of the campus, with a cozy fireplace creating a welcoming atmosphere. Updated restrooms and a catering kitchen enhance the space for students, faculty, and guests.

A new chapel addition has created a dedicated space for worship, prayer, and small gatherings, with clerestory windows that fill the interior with light. Outside, a contemplative patio provides a peaceful area for reflection.

Sebits Auditorium received accessibility upgrades, including wider seating, new flooring, and enhanced lighting. Renovations also transformed the dance studios with new sprung flooring, and one studio now functions as a larger black box performance space. An expanded theater workroom, located near Sebits Auditorium, offers improved storage. Additionally, the band hall was enlarged to support a growing program, with acoustic panels and a raised ceiling for optimal sound.
