USD 382 PRATT BOND PROJECTS

BOND SCOPE OVERVIEW

As part of the recently completed Pratt USD 382 bond projects, Simpson Construction Services delivered significant upgrades across multiple district facilities, totaling more than 73,000 square feet of renovated and new space. Collectively, these projects represent a comprehensive investment in safety, functionality, and long-term service to the Pratt USD 382 community.

PRATT ACADEMIC CENTER (PAC) RENOVATION

This 58,897 SF project involved a full three-story renovation and repurposing of the former high school, creating modern learning and administrative spaces while honoring the building’s historic character. The facility now houses the district’s childcare center, grades 4–5 classrooms, and administrative offices. A new secure entry was added to blend seamlessly with the original structure, and the historic “frog dome” gymnasium was carefully restored, preserving a space rich in local tradition. Modern finishes were installed throughout, while original elements like woodwork and terrazzo floors were refreshed to maintain the building’s character. New windows and HVAC systems were added to improve comfort and efficiency, bringing the facility up to today’s standards for learning environments.

SOUTHWEST ELEMENTARY ADDITION & RENOVATION

This 9,400 SF renovation and addition focused on enhancing student safety, creating functional learning spaces, and improving daily traffic flow for families. The addition included new Pre-K classrooms designed as a storm shelter, providing a secure and adaptable environment for the youngest students. A new parking lot and secure entrance dedicated to this addition was also included for additional safety.

At the front of the school, a new secure entry has been added, as well as a new dedicated drop-off lane to ensure smoother and safer traffic during arrival and dismissal times. There was no dedicated drop off lane previously, so this piece of the bond was highly supported across the entire community. New playgrounds and several classroom improvements were also included in this project.

NEW TRANSPORTATION FACILITY

As part of the Pratt USD 382 bond projects, the district now has a brand-new 5,500 SF Bus Barn, replacing the previous facility that was razed due to safety concerns. This modern facility was designed to support transportation and maintenance operations with efficiency, safety, and long-term functionality in mind. From updated storage and maintenance areas to improved spatial needs for vehicles and staff, the new Bus Barn provides a secure, organized space to support the district’s daily operations and future growth.
