Imagine being transported to the Mediterranean, to a sunlit sidewalk surround by olive trees, colorful facades, natural cedar, stone and painted tile.

Since 2006, the Catholic Care Center has been undergoing a massive capital improvement project with Simpson Construction Services. The final phase, a facility repurposing project, focuses on holistic wellness and connectivity; giving residents and guests the opportunity to feel like they are going out for an evening on the town rather than living continuously in hallways.

Storefronts located on the sidewalk corridor provide residents with necessary services: salon, banking, social services and human resources. Residents can shop the expansive gift store for clothing, jewelry and bath products. Walk the block to the plaza where the space opens to four distinct areas built to inspire resident wellness and social engagement.

A bistro in the community area gives friends and family members a comfortable space to enjoy a cup of coffee or dessert with their loved one. The multipurpose room features a large space for life enriching projects such as continuing education, speakers and concerts. For relaxation, residents can visit the chapel, and the quiet area is perfect for meditation or conversation.
