SENIOR LIVING | VIA CHRISTI VILLAGE IN HAYS

Via Christi Villages’ new, two-story, 82,000-square-foot skilled care facility in Hays consists of six neighborhoods, each offering 16 private and semi-private rooms for a total of 96 rooms. Residents’ rooms open to their neighborhood’s shared living quarters, central bathing facility, nourishment area/kitchen and dining area, as well as a den and private enclosed patio area.

The new skilled care facility also features two themed areas created to bring the community to the residents. A soda parlor and a saloon provide a place for residents to gather or bring visiting family and friends. Other amenities include a beauty parlor, physical therapy gym and worship chapel.

Throughout the build, the owner, architect and designer also collaborated to incorporate new ideas that would increase resident enjoyment such as televisions mounted in the chapel for better viewing of services, and planting beds placed around the facility where residents and their families can garden.

In addition to the new construction, Simpson Construction Services also remodeled the existing assisted living facility. The remodel consisted of renovations to the corridors, dining area, main restrooms and new building entry. Once the new construction and renovation were complete, the existing skilled care facility was demolished.
