Every day more than 10,000 people turn 65, and Via Christi Village is well-positioned to grow with the aging population. Their latest expansion, at the Ridge Road campus, is an 80-bed skilled care unit.

The 72,000 square-foot building gives residents a natural progression of care. Most residents in the skilled care area will have limited opportunities to leave the complex, so Via Christi Villages is bringing the community to them.

As you enter the building, you step on to Mainstreet, complete with a clock tower, bistro, gift shop, and beauty parlor – all built to feel like you are walking through a town. The center point, like many small towns, is the Lumen Christi Chapel, where mass will be celebrated on a regular basis. In the four “neighborhoods”, space functions like a large home with 20 individual bedrooms and a group living room, dining room, and recreational space.

In addition to the homelike layout of the building, SCS worked with many non-clinical materials much like a homeowner would select. Beautiful stone, luxury vinyl tile, bright colors, and upgraded fixtures are incorporated throughout the building.
